Visas for the UK

How to apply for a UK visa in Sudan

Where can I get information?

Sudanese nationals require a visa for travel to the UK.  The UK Border Agency and the British Embassy, Khartoum work in partnership with a commercial organisation: Worldbridge.  You can find out whether you need a visa and how to apply through Worldbridge’s website visainfoservices. Worldbridge also provides information through an e-mail and telephone enquiry service, details of which can be found on their website. All the information provided is supplied and approved by the UK Border Agency. You can also receive details of how to apply by sending an email to khartoum.visaenquiries@fco.gov.uk

Do I have to pay?

There is a charge for using the phone service, but information from the website and by email is free of charge.

How do I submit my application?

All applications must now be submitted online.  You should submit your application through our online application service. Once the online form has been submitted online the site will issue you with details of an appointment time to submit your documents (including passport photographs) and pay the relevant fees at the Visa Section of the British Embassy, Khartoum.  Applicants will also be required to provide biometric data through fingerprint scanning.  The Embassy will then forward these documents to the British Embassy in Cairo where the application will be processed.  Applicants are not required to travel to Cairo.

Where can I get advice?

Worldbridge and its staff cannot give you advice on how to complete your application, or what type of visa you should apply for.   If you need help with your application or advice about the UK's immigration rules and requirements, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration adviser. In the UK these are immigration advisers or lawyer regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) or legally qualified professionals regulated by designated professional bodies.  Their websites are:

Who decides whether I will get a visa?

Your visa application will be processed and decided by UK Border Agency staff. Neither Worldbridge, nor any of its staff play any part in, nor can they influence the outcome of your visa application.  If any member of staff employed by Worldbridge claim to be able to influence your application you should inform the British Embassy, Khartoum as soon as possible.
