The British Embassy moved to its current location off Al-Baladiya Street in the centre of Khartoum in 1983, close to many government offices and about 5 km from Khartoum International Airport. Before this, the Embassy was located in the Abo Alia Building in Parliament St, where Shell Sudan are now based.
