Visa Section


The Visa Section deals with Entry Clearance applications to the United Kingdom and some Commonwealth countries. All applications must now be submitted online.  You should submit your application through our online application service. Applicants need to be at the Embassy by 08.30am. Applications should be made at least one month before the intended date for travel to allow time for necessary procedures to take place. visa.khartoum@fco.gov.uk

Consular Section

All British Citizens are encouraged to register with the Consular Section of the British Embassy during the duration of their stay in the Sudan. The Consular Section offers Consular Services to British Citizens and members of the public. A list of services and the fees due is provided on the notice board. The section is open for enquiries from 08.30 to 13.30, Sunday to Thursday, unless indicated otherwise on the notice board. The Consular Section DOES NOT assist British Citizens in relation to their sponsorship of entry clearance applications. consular.khartoum@fco.gov.uk

Press and Public Affairs Section

Press and Public Affairs Section is the contact point for media organisations, monitors the local press and provides information to the general public. ppa.khartoum@fco.gov.uk

Commercial Section

The work of the Commercial Section of the British Embassy at Khartoum is directed towards linking British exporters with suitable contacts in the marketplace in Sudan. The section provides a comprehensive inquiry service for British and local businessmen. Commercial staff are able to provide reports on commodities and their suitability for the Sudanese market together with information on potential agents, distributors and contact points. Information on opportunities in the local market is notified regularly to TRADEUK. commercial.khartoum@fco.gov.uk
