British Ambassador to Sudan, Rosalind Marsden visited Darfur between 4 to 6 October.
During her visit to UNAMID's Headquarters in North Darfur, she spoke of the importance of the Darfur Peace Process and how working for peace in the region was a priority for the UK. Rosalind also referred to the British Government's continued support for the Doha Talks and IDP resettlement.
In South Darfur, Rosalind met acting Governor of the State, Farra Osman for discussions on the humanitarian situation in the area. The Ambassador met representatives from the Kalam camp for IDPs and also the Darfur-Darfur Dialogue and Consultation group to discuss the peace process.
